Counseling Center
Safelight provides free individual and group trauma focused counseling to children, adolescents, and adult survivors of violence, abuse, and exploitation. Sessions can be in person or via telehealth and in English or in Spanish. We also offer a variety of support groups for both survivors and non-offending supports.

Our Counselors
All Counseling Center Clinicians are Master’s Level, Licensed Clinicians, trained in a variety of evidence-based modalities to address trauma including:
- Child-Parent psychotherapy (CPP) (0-5)
- Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) (2-7)
- Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) (3-18)
- Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention (CFTSI) (7-18)
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) (teens/adults)
- Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) (16+)
- Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) any age
All clients receive a comprehensive trauma assessment to determine the appropriate modality. We only accept clients who are uninsured or have Medicaid. We refer out those with private insurance.
